About Us

The goal is a website that provides some good ideas to busy teachers, not by "recreating the wheel" but simply by curating what's out there and making links to the "best stuff" easily accessible.

We start with "ECON" (the study of choice and opportunity cost), help students (and teachers) understand ways to make good decisions, and then find ways to get those discussions into "MORE" areas of the school day.

We hope to have regular blog articles filled with links and resources, several pages of links to top websites in several curriculum categories, a selection of virtual PD opportunities available each month from great providers, and eventually some of our own PD as well.

Mission

We want "Econ and More" to be your go-to blog for curated resources, articles, and lesson plans that enhance K-12 education in economics, financial literacy, and "more".

Vision

Nothing so grandiose as "world domination" or "earth-shattering impact".

We're just hoping this website and blog (and the resources they provide) can make things easier for overlooked K-12 teachers. Our primary goal is to provide resources, ideas, and good content for teachers in rural areas . . . or mountain areas . . . or under resourced areas . . . or classrooms with too many preps . . . or maybe just a teacher who wishes someone could save them 10 extra minutes at the end of a long school day. There is a LOT of great stuff already out there - so we don't need to create more - we just need to help you find it!
