Addendum to April 17th's post on Free Student Review Materials for Advanced Placement social studies tests

This will be a quick one - two addendums to my earlier post on last-minute AP resources for students. One is simply dates/times for a resource I previously mentioned - the other is a resource for AP Gov that showed up in my in-box earlier this week . . .

Like I said last week, this is NOT intended to serve in lieu of the class content you have hopefully been providing all year long, or the resources you have obtained from College Board about the format and timing of the tests. But we all know students will attempt to supplement that content with their own resources - tutors and tutoring companies, "cheat sheets", curriculum from groups like Khan Academy, study guides and practice tests from the bookstore, etc.. Here are two updates to the list of FREE resources available I posted last Friday . . .

Supreme Court Cases for AP® Government and Politics (videos) from Izzit.com - https://www.izzit.org/activities_collections/collections/scc/index.php?

Izzit YouTube channel - https://www.youtube.com/user/izzitEDU (includes this playlist, but others as well)

NOTE: You "may" be familiar with Izzit from their economics, geography, and government videos, and the free once-per-year DVDs they used to give away to K-12 teachers. I was not aware, though, of this series hosted by U.S. Federal Court of Appeals justice Douglas Ginsburg, that features short videos on 16 of the most important Supreme Court cases of the past 225 years. 4 or 5 of them are 19th century "classic" precedents, but most are 20th century postwar cases that connect directly to expanding Bill of Rights' protections. Teachers could certainly use these in their classrooms, but again the items I am featuring here are being advertised specifically for last-minute review by students

C-SPAN's Cram for the Exam Live Reviews - Saturday, April 25th starting at 9am ET (for APUSH) and Saturday, May 2nd starting at 9am ET (for AP Gov)

NOTE: These dates and times were sent out via e-mail on Sunday - I have not seen any changes on the C-SPAN website to reflect them. The links below are to the AP resources and videos of last years' reviews for APUSH and APGOV (which I have pictured). Again, they use experienced AP teachers for the presentations, but the sessions do not tend to be as focused as either Jacob Clifford or Steve Heimler videos on YouTube (since they are trying to "hit the highlights" for the entire exam in one session).
