250th Anniversary resources from several different government institutions:
While I know there are some private websites doing things for the semiquincentennial (the only time I plan to use that particular word!), most of them are emphasizing live events for in-person audiences on the holiday weekend. Here I am going to focus on resources you can come back to during the school year - Constitution Day in September, for example, seems like a really good time to revisit this - and the "usual suspects" like the Library of Congress, National Archives, and Smithsonian are going to be at the top of the list to recommend . . .

Source #3 - Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) - America @ 250

"Traditional" Fourth of July resources:
The "traditional" element is simply to contrast the 250th resources listed above from resources about the Fourth of July weekend. Not going to spend too much time on these (I know most of you won't even see them until after the weekend is over) but a couple you might find interesting or useful later in the month . . .

As I mentioned in the main resource post, I'm going to start by featuring some content for both the 4th of July (in general) and the specific resources available for the 250th celebration. After that, I might just feature a quick glimpse at the eclectic mix of other holidays available this month . . .
