PD Sessions on home page updated for last week of Feb and early March 2026

There are not a lot of PD sessions this week and next (maybe because professional development organizations have a couple of conferences over that period) so most of what I am posting is for the second week of March. There are a couple, though, that I will post for this coming week and then "switch out" for new ones as March begins.

As I mentioned above, most of the new updates are for PD sessions taking place the second week of March. Two reasons for that - 1) there just isn't a lot being offered this week or next (with a couple of exceptions) and 2) I will be travelling the first week of March to the National Association of Economic Educators conference in Kansas City, and wanted to make sure the home page would be up-to-date beforehand. Like my last trip, I will try to have some posts scheduled in advance before that trip, and then will do 3-4 posts related either to sights I visit coming/going, as well as speakers/sessions I want to share from the PD I attend while I am there.

I also want to start doing something different on these updates. Someone asked me if I had a historical record of the sessions/organizations I had recommended in the past, and I realized the way I update the home page precluded that from happening (since I don't keep copies of the home page when I update it). So instead, I thought I would list the sessions every couple of weeks in this update blog post - I will not duplicate registration links, but at least can record what was offered for "posterity". So here is what is now on the home page as of tonight:

  • Federal Reserve Education, "Bite-Sized Brilliance: Short Lessons and Activities to Boost Student Skills", 2/26, 3:30-4:30pm CT

NOTE - Next weekend I will update that to their next session on 3/3 about "Using Sports to Teach Economic Concepts"

  • Center for Civic Education, "Stories of Civil Disobedience", 3/3, 6-7:30pm CT

  • EconEdLink, "Crossroads: Where Economics, History, and Music Meet", 3/9, 5-6pm CT

  • Econiful, "Priced Out or Built Up? The Economics of Housing", 3/10, 6-7pm CT

  • NextGen Personal Finance (NGPF), "The Real Truth About Educational ROI After High School", 3/10, 6-7pm CT

  • Foundation for Economic Education (FEE), "Beyond the Buzzer: Navigating the Economic Playbook of NIL", 3/11, 6-7pm CT

Finally a quick apology for a few days this past week with minimal updates - I was installing a new computer and spending time backing everything up from the old, non-Windows 11 desktop. Seems to be working well, so hopefully between that and my laptop (which will be coming with me to KC) I won't have a long stretch in the near future. Doesn't mean I will have a post every day, but hope to average 4-5 each week (with more as I start a couple more new series in the next few weeks).
