PD Sessions on home page updated for the first half of April 2026

We are still in a busy period with some school districts going on Spring Break and some PD organizations not offering webinars immediately before or after Palm Sunday/Easter week. However, other groups are going strong, so I have my usual 6 recommendations for those teachers who have the time and inclination.

Like I said two weeks ago, not a lot I need to mention on the newest set of updates for the first two weeks of April. As I noted above, I know this is a very busy time of year - but I also know that some teachers see breaks as the best time to catch up on some professional development. I also plan to get April holiday resources up in the next day or two.

As I mentioned in March, I'm going to try to document the updates I put on the home page (since I don't keep copies of the home page when I update it) in this update blog post - I will not duplicate registration links, but at least can record what was offered for "posterity". So here is what is now on the home page as of tonight:

  • National Council for the Social Studies (NCSS), "America at 250: Promises, Paradoxes, and the Present. "A Revolution That Travelled", 4/2, 6-7pm CT

  • Federal Reserve Education, "Balance of Payments", 4/7, 3:30-4:30pm CT

  • Foundation for Teaching Economics (FTE), "How the American Revolution was Financed with Paper Money", 4/8, 6-7pm CT

  • NextGen Personal Finance (NGPF), "Speaker Series: Sheila Bair on Creating Skeptical Financial Consumers", 4/9, 6-7pm CT

  • EconEdLink, "The Hidden Costs of Tariffs: What They Mean for Your Wallet", 4/10, 4-5pm CT

  • National Constitution Center, "Federalism and Separation of Powers", 4/15, 5:30-7pm CT

Look for a new set of PD updates in mid-April - hopefully we will have some more PD sessions for Financial Literacy Month getting announced.
