September Holidays
Here is a list of some September holidays with economic and financial literacy connections/lessons. Since I included Labor Day weekend in the August holidays, this will be a little shorter (and more thematic, with things like the start of the football (and pumpkin spice) seasons.

The list of holiday topics for September will be a little shorter than usual, particularly because I included Labor Day weekend in August this year (since 2 of the 3 days of the weekend were the 30th and 31st). So since there are not any federal holidays in the remainder of the month, most of the focus will be on thematic topics. For content areas, several items on Patriots Day (9/11) and Constitution Day - for the social, the start of football season and its' economic impact. Plus seasonal things like the return of "pumpkin spice" season . . . And as usual look for a few lesser-known holidays in there as well . . .
